GeneSTAR^® Accelerate is a move forward in DNA technology, providing a combined GeneSTAR and SireTRACE^® test for a single low price. This test includes 12 of the standard 19 SireTRACE markers, including the 9 markers recommended by the International Society of Animal Genetics (ISAG), as well as the full panel of GeneSTAR markers.

This progression allows us to combine results from these two test types, run on separate machines, and instead run a single parentage analysis using both SireTRACE and GeneSTAR markers. This saves the additional cost of running one panel of SireTRACE markers, and makes the combined product more affordable for producers. Because the Accelerate test still uses the 9 markers recommended by ISAG, the DNA profiles generated will fulfill the requirements of most breed societies.

The marker results generated in the GeneSTAR Accelerate test can be used for parentage analysis against any other samples that have also been tested for Accelerate (GeneSTAR or SireTRACE results alone are not enough to compare an to Accelerate profile in order to verify parentage).
